Nestled in the historic City of York, the QueerArts Rainbow Choir stands as a beacon of inclusivity, acceptance, and the transformative power of music. This LGBTQ+ choir is more than just a group of singers; it’s a vibrant community where voices of all backgrounds come together to celebrate diversity and foster a sense of belonging.

Our Mission:
Harmony Through Diversity

Nestled in the historic City of York, the QueerArts Rainbow Choir stands as a beacon of inclusivity, acceptance, and the transformative power of music. This LGBTQ+ choir is more than just a group of singers; it’s a vibrant community where voices of all backgrounds come together to celebrate diversity and foster a sense of belonging.

The QueerArts Rainbow Choir was founded on the principles of inclusivity and unity. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to express themselves through music. We believe in the power of song to bring people together, break down barriers, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.

We’re deeply committed to engaging with the wider York community. We regularly perform at local events, pride festivals, and community gatherings, using our platform to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues and promote acceptance.

Whether you’re an experienced singer or just love to sing in the shower, the QueerArts Rainbow Choir welcomes you with open arms. We hold regular rehearsals where members can develop their vocal skills, learn new music, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow choir members. Our rehearsals are a safe space where everyone is encouraged to be themselves and share their passion for music.
